Horse Chestnut. Planted by: Mr.& Mrs Bouvier. This is one of the few Heritage trees that have a plaque but aren't included in the book. This type of tree is hard to grow in Edmonton. Pauline Boisvert planted a seed in a pot and covered it with an ice cream pail for the first winter. Amazingly, this Horse Chestnut has survived and flourished, even on the north side of the property.
