This is the largest Ginkgo tree known in Alberta by far. This tree is growing on the east side of the Education carpark (between the education building and the education carpark), and experiences shade for the vast majority of the day. Through these conditions, this tree still in amazing health and has no visible dead or struggling branches. It was reportedly planted in 1998 by the world Ginkgo record. Growing alongside numerous other rare species, this Ginkgo proves that this species can succeed in Alberta's climate. This is the younger, but larger, or twi Ginkgos on campus.
