It is growing on a grove of the same species, and is the healthiest in the group. It has a lush canopy and is still producing an abundance of cones. This tree was likely planted on arbor day in 1916, when the first trees in the park were planted. 2000 seedlings were planted that year, helping transform the area from a slough to the beautiful park it is today.
