This Poplar has a super wide "lower" circumference up around 7 feet where it narrows down to around a 3 ft circumfrence. I think that the tree may have once been much larger but died, and one branch is somehow still growing. Note: The undergrowth of the area is very lush (similar to other old growth forests) and larger Poplars very well could be in the area.
