Horizontal Willow
Unidentified Willow (Salix sp.)
Unidentified Willow
About this verified tree
Community Landmark with unusual growth form, with an extremely broad, disjunct canopy and several stems growing parallel to the ground. Now is an important climbing tree in the park. We call this the climbing tree, as many have before us, I’m sure. The trunk(s) of the tree is actually growing out sideways close to the ground so as to make it easy for small children to climb/crawl all over it.
