About this verified tree

Larch. This is the largest Larch tree that I have ever seen. With all of the different trunks, roots, and "needles" this tree would be very hard to measure! I am included in one of the photos to show the size of this incredible tree! ~Josh Kirsch. Mr. Gary Cook, Manager of Edmonton office of Canadian Red Cross Society, told me this treee was planted on May 8 1984 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Red Cross Society in Canada. He said he has pictures. We could not find the tree on Nov. 19 1986 but are told there is a plaque Mr. Lynn Dennis, Senior Horticultural Officer of the Conservatory, said he has had a lot of trouble with newly planted trees dying due to exposed position and watering problems and the sewer being dug up. Mrs. Diamond sent Mr. Dennis a copy
