Growing in Oliver near downtown, it stands out because of its massive crown and the way it fills the space beside the building. Its canopy spreads far over the sidewalk and nearby property, making it a major presence in the streetscape. The tree is especially notable for its multi-stem structure. Several large trunks rise together from the base and support a dense, wide canopy. This gives the tree a much heavier and more unusual form than a typical street or yard maple. In a dense urban area where large old trees are often removed or heavily pruned, this Norway Maple remains a significant landmark tree in Oliver.
