About this verified tree
Paper Birch. This is by far the largest Paper Birch that I have ever seen! Its massive circumference and huge canopy make it one of the most amazing trees that I've seen this year! This tree is home to lots of wildlife like Woodpeckers, squirrels, and many other different types of birds! There is a very high chance that this is the largest Paper Birch in Canada!! I've done quite a bit of research and I can't find one larger than this tree! Photos 6 and 7 were taken by Kristine Kowalchuk in 2014 when the tree had both trunks alive. It is amazing to see how it used to look.
